Elizabeth Mae Tune August 18, 1980 - May 26, 2021 Elizabeth Mae Tune of Red Oak, Texas was born in Dallas, Texas on August 18, 1980 to Robert "Buster" L. Tune, Jr. and Johney Beth Douthit Tune with two older brothers, Walter Douthit deceased and Bobby Tune currently residing in Colorado. She loved arts and crafts, animals and the outdoors. Most of all she loved Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Elizabeth attended Red Oak ISD grades K-9 then graduated from Ferris High School. She earned an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming from Cedar Valley College, part of the Dallas County Community College District. Elizabeth was working on a further degree in graphics and animation when she became too ill to attend. At age 25 she was diagnosed with primary PAH (Pulmonary Artery Hypertension), a rare, debilitating heart and lung disease for which there is no cure. After battling the disease for more than 15 years she graduated to Heaven on May 26, 2021. Elizabeth was beautiful, smart, talented and funny. She made jewelry, embroidered, quilted, did macrame, made pillows, bath bombs and Christmas ornaments to name a few. Always had pets - dogs, cats, hedgehogs, lizards, fish and rabbits - loved animals. She was a member of the Arbor Foundation for many years. She was Geometry Student of the Year at Ferris High School. She was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, graduating with honors from Cedar Valley College although she had dyslexia. You are much loved and missed baby girl. We already miss your smile and laughter. We shall be together again. Survived by her parents, Buster and Johney Tune, as well as her brother Bobby Tune. Paternal Aunt Gloria Tune, her children Stephanie, Alan and Julian and families. Paternal Aunt Lou Ann Floyd, her children Emily and Sara and families. Paternal Uncle Clark Tune, Aunt Susie and their daughter Julia and family. Maternal Uncle Clayton Douthit and daughter Courtney. Maternal Uncle David Douthit, his children Pasha, Justin and Jessica and their families. Maternal Aunt Peggy Lappe, Uncle Heath Lappe, Teresa Sullivan and Kyle Shoemaker and their families. Preceded by her brother Walter Douthit, Aunt Connie Douthit, grandparents and great grandparents.
She was loved by family and friends and will be missed.
